While attending community college, Andrew briefly served in the military as a translator. Due to a medical injury, he received an honorable discharge, and returned to complete his Associate degree. Subsequently, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from UC Irvine in Orange County, California. He graduated Cum Laude placing in the top 5% of his class. He also earned a Departmental Honors after successfully completing his thesis. Andrew earned his Juris Doctor from the top ranking and nationally recognized UC Davis School of Law in Northern California.
